The Live market experience of Marco’s Executive and Board brings insights into the original underwriting process, portfolios and often individual underwriters (many former colleagues) and this enables Marco to see challenges and opportunities from the client’s perspective.
PoloWorks gives Marco Capital’s core Legacy business team substantial technical support from a body of some 375 insurance professionals. As a third party business with its own clients, PoloWorks must remain competitive and at the cutting edge. As a client of PoloWorks, Marco has the benefit of access to this resource without having the financial pressure of being the sole client.
At Lloyd’s, Marco and PoloWorks have a unique position since its arrangement of the ‘classical’ structure of Syndicate / Corporate Member / Managing Agency / Members Agency has an important difference – Marco’s ownership of Polo Managing Agency (PMA), a ‘Turnkey’ with third party clients in addition to Marco’s RITC syndicate 1254 - avoids pressure to generate a regular flow of Legacy/RITC transactions to remain viable.
As one of only two leading independent turnkey Managing Agencies currently operating at Lloyd’s, Polo Managing Agency has close contacts with Lloyd’s across a wide range of issues including business development opportunities for the Lloyd’s market.
Marco offers legacy solutions to the international non-life re/insurance market through reinsurance, portfolio transfer and acquisition. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with clients by providing quality and valued service.
At Marco, trust and reputation are paramount. As a responsible, conservatively managed legacy partner, we promise to safeguard the reputations of our clients by upholding the highest standards and best practice.
